East Side Primary was thrilled to welcome Andrea McTigue as art teacher in the 1996-97 school year. Andrea incorporated the teaching of basic skills into her art program and was always willing to work with any teacher around a theme they were currently studying in the classroom. The 2nd and 3rd grade students designed and painted an ocean mural in the hallway.  In the spring of 1998, students painted a jungle mural.  The entry to the library door was decorated with characters from favorite books in 1999.   I wonder what Mrs. McTigue has planned for 2000?
