The Kindergarten students at East Side Primary look forward to several activities each year. One of their favorites is the annual fishing trip to a local trout farm. Each child gets to carry home the fish they caught with their very own hands. The Kindergarten teachers plan activities for each month to go along with units they are studying. In the fall they travel to the Pumpkin Patch in Fayetteville, Tennessee to pet the farm animals, pick a pumpkin, and go on a hayride. For their unit on Community Helpers, the Kindergarten students walk to the police station. A police officer talks to them and shows them the police car with all its lights and sirens.
