On Saturday, May 10, a group of Boy Scouts directed by Micah Wood from Troop 390 worked to develop an outdoor classroom for the students of East Side. The Scouts carted dirt, landscaping timbers, sand, and mulch to the East Side yard. By the time the day ended, they had fashioned planting beds, a sandbox, bird feeders and baths, a compost area, a box for a worm farm, and a weather station. Everyone went home exhausted, but proud of a job well done. Thanks Micah and good luck on obtaining your Eagle Scout Rank!
