BROCK'S BIG BACKYARD
Welcome! I am a 39 year old teacher. I have taught for several years at my school. My husband also teaches music, directs band and chorus at the same school, Harris Middle School. We love teaching and working together. Our school is found in Middle Tennessee. Although I was born in Indiana, and have many relatives in Kentucky, I still call Tennessee, "Home Sweet Home." I enjoy water aerobics, many types of music, tennis, writing, gardening, church activities, and of course reading. I like histories, the classics, and biographies the best. I've also developed an interest in mysteries. I am currently reading all the "alphabet books" by Sue Grafton and I like the mystery novels of Patricia Cornwell, also. I also try to keep an active "to read" list of Accelerated Reader titles. I am very lucky to be able to teach a sixth grade course in world history and world geography because those topics have always held a special place in my heart and there are so many wonderful resources to make history come alive! I hope you enjoy my home page and if you are a visiting parent or student I hope you find it helpful throughout the year.
