This WebQuest challenges students to review the parts of speech. It allows students to strengthen their technology skills, exercise their creativity, practice their research skills, appreciate the complexity of their language, experience the fun of language, and visit resource sites to discriminate between different parts of speech. Students will experiment with parts of speech and improve their communication skills by using the computer to drill, practice, review, and explore new vocabulary. Students will also benefit from practice involving communication using email. When practicing language, there is no better audience than a real and appreciative audience. Finally students will demonstrate their new or improved knowledge of the parts of speech by creating their own madlib. Students will become more articulate. They will evaluate their madlib and others. Maybe students want to be a salesperson, an ad designer, or work in politics. Students might just want to get an "A" in English. All of these skills presented in this WebQuest will be highly valuable to students all of their lives. Remember students will be using communication skills their entire lives. The new century has provided us with even more opportunity to converse with each other freely. With these new opportunities comes the responsibility to converse appropriately and adequately. Email etiquette will also be addressed.
