Introduction
This quest challenges you to investigate and review parts of speech. What are they? How is the English language so powerful as to create the need for these?
The Task
Learning in the 21st century presents new opportunities and new challenges. Will the Internet and the possibilities it offers change the quality of your life? How do you use Internet resources?  Can the Internet help you with writng skills? Do you   You will examine, compare, and contrast how people use parts of speech. You will then research and create your own example of a story using different parts of speech as this linked example. There are more examples listed in the resources. The class will post their examples.
The Process
Define your project
  1. Your final assignment is to author a madlib using various parts of speech after an extensive review of parts of speech.
  2. Your first task is to read you Gaggle.net email. The teacher has emailed you an assignment. That assignment is to take the madlib that is in your email and fill in the missing parts of speech to create an interesting and informative story. You will then reply and send this completed madlib back to your teacher for grading. Be careful and good luck! (hint: capitalize and punctuate when needed.)
  3. You need to define each part of speech. Turn this in to the teacher. Each part of speech has an importance in writing, and understanding their proper usage can help with your speaking. Brainstorm and share your ideas in a group of three about their importance. Your group should decide which part of speech you would rank as the most important and why.
  4. Complete the following exercises below to learn about parts of speech and improving your communication skills.
  5. Your final task is to author a madlib. You will then email your madlib to your secret email partner classmate.
  6. Check your partner's email madlib when it arrives back to you. Use the rubric to check it and then give the completed rubric with student numbers to the teacher. Be fair when you grade this. Make suggestions and then explain your grade to the classmate. Email them back with a reply about their madlib, grade, and assignment. You have completed your task here. Make sure that you complete your madlib that someone sent to you. Make sure you check your email and understand your grade on your rubric. Please forward that email to your teacher with a note that says you have completed this assignment. Your teacher will see you shortly with the next assignment. Good Job!!
