The names of children who have celebrated birthdays have gone on our Birthday Book bulletin board. Please notice this board as you come into the library. We now have 11 names on the board. If you have not purchased an AR book in honor of your child, please consider doing this. The child’s name goes in the front of the book along with their birth date for all to see for years to come. It’s also an excellent way to help our library grow. We have recently acquired new books for our library from magazine drive and book fair fundraisers. If you are thinking about purchasing a book in honor or in memory of someone, now is an excellent time to come in to the library and make your choice. I then use the money from your purchase to buy more AR books. Thanks to all of the names above for their purchases. Your support means a lot to me and to our students.

Ms. Sue Lytle presented two books to our school during Mrs. Holmes’s sixth grade library class. She also gave book talks on these books that will be AR books when I purchase the tests. She is a member of the Cumberland Center for Justice and Peace in Sewanee, TN.

We appreciate the donations from this group.

Thanks to Michael, Paula, and Austin Scott for volunteering in the library this week.

EARLY DISMISSAL FORMS—If you are checking your child out early, please fill out the Early Dismissal Form. They need to be completely filled out and signed.

Remember every time your child is tardy or picked up early this counts toward days absent.

LOOKING AHEAD—March 1st is Dr. Seuss Day. The students will be allowed to wear pajamas to school if they choose to. More about this next week.
