The "EAGLE" Newsletter

Thanks to all of you for helping make drop off in the mornings go faster. Having your child ready to get out helps to speed up the line. You are appreciated. I am asking for your help in keeping our school grounds looking nice. Please do not throw cigarette butts, cans or paper out in our driveway around the school.

From the Cafeteria—If you plan to eat lunch with your child or grandchild, please call the cafeteria to let them know you are coming. We welcome your visits, but need to know in advance to prepare extra. The number is 962-2320.

From the Library--Tyler Martin, Sydney Stovall, and Amanda Bartlett have donated books to our library. Teresa Garner donated a bookstand for use in the library. Thank you for these donations. A note of thanks also goes to Mr. Frankie Taylor and Mr. Jim Haynes for delivering a bookshelf to our library that was donated by Mrs. Suzi Smith, former owner of Expressions Bookstore. We very much appreciate this donation. Mr. and Mrs. Jackie Limbaugh and Ms. Jimmie Lou Edde-Sandlin have purchased an AR book in memory of Mrs. Amelia Martin. Thank you! Parents, please remember that books may be purchased from our library in memory of a loved one. It is a donation that family members really appreciate and is one that will last for many years to come. So far, only one birthday book has been purchased in honor of a Broadview student. Please also consider this type of donation. Your child’s name will be placed in the book along with his/her birth date. The children really enjoy having a book donated in their honor. Thank you for your consideration in this matter. Let’s work together to help our library grow!

Lost glasses—We have a pair of glasses on the sign-in table at the front door. They were found at school. They look like they could belong to a child.

A Reminder—Remember to put your child’s name on their coats, jackets, book bags and their lunchboxes. Many of the children have the same kind of lunchbox.

Boy Scouts—Monday September 10th at 1:30. A representative will be at school to talk to the boys.

Girl Scouts—Girl Scout sign up is going to be in the Broadview cafeteria at 6:00 on Thursday, Sept. 13th. For more information, call Stephanie Jones at 968-9766

Basketball information—will be in next week’s newsletter.

Parent-Teacher Conference—October 8th – 12:00-6:00PM

BPTO—will meet Tuesday, Sept. 13th at 6:30 PM in the cafeteria. Come and join in with our plans for the Harvest Festival to be held in November.

End of 6 weeks—September 26th.
