Ball Practice—REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR BALL CLOTHES TO SCHOOL WHEN YOU HAVE BALL PRACTICE!!!

Head Lice—We have had several cases of head lice. Remember to check your child’s head at home. We cannot check heads everyday. If you notice your child scratching his/her head, check them. We cannot let them back into school if they still have nits.

Library News— Mrs. Norris’s first grade class won the contest for the pizza party given last Thursday. A great big thanks to all parents that helped save labels and boxtops for this contest. Please continue to do so. I will be collecting these throughout the year.

Mrs. Melanie Stovall and daughter Bethany purchased two AR books: one in memory of Mr. Charles Allen Williams and one in memory of Mrs. Pearl Williams.

Brittany Riddle donated 2 books from her home collection. In honor of Mrs. Treva Hill on her retirement from Broadview School as secretary, AR books were purchased from the following: Mrs. Dottie Smith’s Kindergarten Class, Mrs. Prince’s Kindergarten Class, Mrs. Helen Rose and Mrs. Sandy Schultz. An AR book was purchased by Gina Moore in memory of Miss Elizabeth Haynes. Kelly, Gina, Megan, Whitson, and Walter Moore purchased an AR book in memory of Mrs. Jessie Shasteen Taylor. Thank you very much for these donations.

PUMPKINS and GOURDS FOR SALE—$4.00 –$25.00 Small Medium Large and VERY LARGE. School will receive 50% of the profits. October 6^th-9:00 AM-4:00PM. Go to Decherd, turn left at Post Office, bear to right approx. 1 mile to the right on Shelly Road.

BPTO NEWS-Plans are underway for The Fall Festival to be held at the school November 17^th. We have many fun events planned and need YOUR help! The next meeting will be October 9th at 6:30 in the school cafeteria. Thanks to everyone who attended the last meeting-you are very appreciated. The class who has the most parents in attendance at the Oct. 9^th meeting will win an ice cream party. This will be done on a percentage basis. If you have any questions please call Frankie Taylor (967-3673) or Pat Martin (962-0481). We hope to see you at the next meeting.

Boy Scouts--The Webelos Den for Pack 396 will meet right after school on Tuesday at the Winchester CP Church. If you need a ride, call Ms. Patty Johnson at

962-2192 for pick up instructions.The Wolf Den for Pack 396 will meet at 6:30pm on Tuesday at the Winchester CP Church.
