Library NewsThanks to Susan Coutta for donating 2 books from her home collection. Please remember to save Campbells Labels and Boxtops for Education. If you have the time, please cut the label so that the front of the label is saved with the name Campbells showing. Also, the boxtops can be trimmed before sending - if you have time. If not, I will take care of it. I received a letter from the Boxtops office this week stating that we collected 4,090 Boxtops last year. If we collect at least 8,250 Boxtops by March 30, 2002, we will receive a bonus check of 70.00. Please ask your family and friends to help save these items. Thank you!! Helen Rose
Art News-Congratulations to Josiah Ottley and Bethany Stovall in the 5th grade for their winning entries in the "Design A Flag Contest" for the dedication ceremony of Meriwether Lewis monument at Natchez Trace parkway in Hohenwald, TN. Their flag will represent Franklin County on a huge Tennessee landform map on October 11th.
The monthly "Arts in the News" update is sent out this week. This information sheet contains weekend activities in the middle Tennessee area on special exhibits, arts and crafts fairs, thematic festivals, ect. that have great educational benefits. All students that attend one of these events listed can receive an extra grade in art if they can describe the experience or something that they saw that made an impression on them. If anyone has information to add to this monthly update, please notify Betsy Bucher. Ms. Bucher
