HALLOWEEN PARTIES—Kindergarten classes will dress as a storybook character. Remember to bring the storybook in to share with the class. All other grades can dress in costume. Lower grades will parade.

Your child’s teacher will send information about the individual class parties.

BPTO—The show of support at the BPTO meeting last Tuesday night was really appreciated. Harvest Festival plans are moving right along. We will meet again on Tuesday, Nov. 6th in the cafeteria. Broadview BPTO needs you. Frankie

--Posted outside the office is a list of possible donors for the Nov. 17th (7:00 PM) auction. Please drop by ASAP to look at the list and sign up by any of the places/people with whom you know or do business. Please don’t ask for a donation with out checking this list first (we don’t want to double up on anyone.)

--If you have something you’d like to donate, bring item(s) to the cafeteria stage by Tuesday, Nov. 6th. A master list of auctions items will be included in the Monday, Nov. 12th newsletter.

--J Plan to come Nov. 17th!! If you can’t come to the auction at 7:00 PM, you’ll be able to leave sealed bids earlier in the day. Tell your friends!!!

FROM THE LIBRARY--Amber Limbaugh and Ethan Hall purchased an AR book in honor of Mr. Chris Clemons, our former P.E. student teacher.   Thank you, Amber and Ethan! Montana Rhoton donated books from her home collection. Thanks to the following library volunteers this week:  Mrs. Joanne Grant, Mrs. Holly Cortner, Mrs. Paula Scott and Mrs. Kathryn Holder. Our magazine sales continue through tomorrow, the 30th.  A great big thank you to the parents that were supportive in this fundraiser. Remember that all magazine orders and money are to be turned in Tuesday, Oct. 30th.Ms. Rose

STARS PROGRAM—Mr. Jim Williams presented a drug and alcohol free program to 5th grade students last Thursday. The children thought that the program was wonderful. Attached is a letter with details of the Parenting Skill Training for Franklin County Parents that will be starting in November.

A NOTE of THANKS—The Gideons gave each 5th grade student a New Testament.

HEAD LICE—Remember to check your child for head lice.

END OF SIX WEEKS—Nov. 8th.

BROADVIEW EAGLES BASKETBALL—First game on Nov. 1st—We play at North Lake. Broadview plays Huntland.

BASKETBALL NEWS: Congratulations to the boy’s basketball team.  They won third place at the Scott Junior High Gators Tournament this weekend.  Blake Shrum and Chris Burris made the All Tournament Team.

Mr. Russ Gill has accepted the coaching position for the boy’s basketball team. Mr. Puckett has moved to Huntsville. A big thanks to Mr. Puckett for all that he did for the team. Boys will practice on Mondays from 3:45-5-5:15. Practice on Wednesday will be from 5-6:30.

P.E. NEWS:  Y-TIES, Y-TIES, Y-TIES

This colorful and unique pair of shoelaces is part of the P.E. Harvest Festival activity.  They are on sale now for $3.00 per pair.  An envelope is being sent home for you to order stocking stuffers, birthday and Christmas gifts for all ages.  Also, bootlaces (72 inches) are available in many colors and they sell for  $4.00 per pair. LIONS CLUB—Will be here on the 2nd to check eyes for the 2nd and 4th grades.
