Parents’ Request for Teacher’s Qualifications

As a part of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, school systems are required to notify parents of children in schools receiving Title 1 funds of their right to request information on the professional qualification of their child’s teacher(s). All teachers in Jackson County Schools are properly certified to teach in the school system.

To request information regarding the qualifications of your child’s teacher, a written request should be submitted to the Jackson County Schools Central Office at 711 School Drive, Gainesboro, TN 38652. Information regarding certification may also be obtained from the Tennessee Department of Education’s web site at www.state.tn.us/education.
