Physical Education

All grade levels will be using the (K-8) Tennessee Physical Education and Lifetime Wellness standards as a guideline for our physical education classes.

Safety Issues

Each student will need:

*A pair of athletic type shoes that are designed for use during physical activity. They will need to be tied. No black-soled shoes (they mark the floor), slick, stacked bottom, sandals, boot, or athletic shoes without strings will be permitted. This is a very important safety issue and if necessary you may send a pair to school to keeping their classroom locker.

*To wear appropriate comfortable clothing for exercise and physical activity. If skirts or dresses are worn, students must wear shorts underneath their clothing.

*To take all necklaces and dangling earrings off before class. It would be best not to wear jewelry on the day of physical education class.

*Have long hair put up to eliminate potential injuries.

*All students need to be able to tie their own shoes.

We strive to teach our students teamwork as well as working on individual skill development in a safe environment.
