The Aurora Borealis
Jordan
Mrs. Ward’s 5th grade class

The Aurora Borealis or also known as the northern lights can be seen in many forms –arch, band, filaments, streamers,
and that includes all those at right angles too.
Did you know that Aurora is the Latin word for Euoes the god  of dawn.
The most common color for the Low Aurora is green. The Aurora can be seen on Jupiter too.
Solar particles get from the sun to the Earth by Solar Winds or Earth’s  Magnetic
Field. Once the particles reach the Earth’s atmosphere, some of the particles get trapped in the Earth’s atmosphere, the others travel to the northern or southern poles of the Earth. These cause the Aurora Borealis. Auroras are beautiful.
