Orcas are also known as killer whales and the black fish. They are 30-33 feet long and weighs up to 8,000-12,000 pounds.A new baby orca is as long as 23 feet. The  male orca is larger than the female. The orca is the largest member of the dolphin family.

The orca is the master preditor. It eats more meat than any whale. They eat sealions, fish, squid, seals, pengiuns, dolphins, and other creatures. They drink 50 gallons of water in a day. They hunt in groups of 6-40 whales. The orca dives down as deep as 100 feet in order to eat. They are fast swimmers and this gives them an advantage in capturing aminals.

The orcas are famous at Sea World.A famous orca  is Shamo ( Free Willy). When the orca is in  the little pool at the show and their dorsal fin is  flipped over that means they are unhappy.
