Some of the animals found in Alaska are the snowy owl, caribou, arctic wolf, arctic fox, arctic hare, walrus, articloon, polar bear, seal, and husky. The state flower is Forget-me-not. The state bird is the Ptarmigan. The state tree is the Spruce tree. There is Iditarod personal request. Nice mushers and journeys are cool too. It has hero dogs and books also. Forests cover one third of Alaska. The Iditarod sled dog race has become an icon of modern Alaska. And do not forget the gold rush.
