WES Honor Roll Rules




"A" AND "B" HONOR ROLL


RED AND BLUE RIBBONS WILL BE GIVEN TO STUDENTS IN THE THIRD, FOURTH, AND FIFTH GRADES AT THE END OF EACH SIX WEEKS.

THE GRADING SYSTEM IS AS FOLLOWS:

A------------------- 94-100

B-------------------- 86-93

C-------------------- 77-85

D-------------------- 70-76

F------------- BELOW 70




CITIZENSHIP AWARD


THIS AWARD WILL BE A PURPLE RIBBON GIVEN TO TWO STUDENTS FROM EACH CLASS AT THE END OF EACH 6 WEEK PERIOD.

  1. THESE CITIZENS WILL HAVE NO TARDIES (LATE FOR SCHOOL) OR ATTENDANCE PROBLEMS.

  2. THESE CITIZENS WILL BE GOOD, INTERESTED STUDENTS, HAVE THEIR HOMEWORK IN ORDER EACH DAY, AND TRY TO DO THEIR BEST IN THEIR CLASSROOM (ACADEMIC WORK).

  3. THESE CITIZENS WILL OBEY THEIR CLASSROOM AND SCHOOL RULES.

  4. THESE CITIZENS WILL ACCEPT THESE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. RESPECT THE RIGHT AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHERS.

    2. ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS/HER OWN ACTIONS AND CONSEQUENCES OF BEHAVIORS.

    3. ABIDE BY THE AUTHORITY OF TEACHER, SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS, AND SCHOOL STAFF.

    4. HELP MAINTAIN SCHOOL PROPERTY.





    PHYSICAL EDUCATION AWARD


    THIS AWARD WILL BE GIVEN TO ONE BOY AND GIRL FROM EACH CLASS AT THE END OF EACH SIX-WEEK PERIOD.
    1. HIGH ACHIEVER IN ACTIVITY SKILLS.

    2. GOOD CONDUCT IN GYM PARTICIPATION.

    3. GET ALONG WELL WITH OTHER STUDENTS.

    4. AVERAGE OR ABOVE ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT.

    5. GOOD LEADERSHIP ABILITY.





    VISUAL ARTS AWARD


    THIS AWARD WILL BE GIVEN TO TWO STUDENTS FROM EACH CLASS AT THE END OF EACH SIX-WEEK PERIOD.

    1. USES THE ELEMENTS AND PRINCIPLES OF ART TO CREATE ART WORK OF OUTSTANDING QUALITY.

    2. IS PERSISTENT IN HIS/HER EFFORT TO ACHIEVE.

    3. DISPLAYS GOOD CONDUCT IN ART PARTICIPATION.

    4. DEMONSTRATES AN ABOVE AVERAGE INTEREST IN THE VISUAL ARTS.





    MUSIC AWARD


    THIS AWARD WILL BE GIVEN TO TWO STUDENTS FROM EACH CLASS AT THE END OF EACH SIX-WEEK PERIOD.

    1. PARTICIPATION IN THE SINGING AND MUSIC APPRECIATION ACTIVITIES.

    2. GOOD BEHAVIOR AND THE DESIRE TO LEARN ALL KINDS OF MUSIC.

    3. APPARENT LOVE OF MUSIC AND WILLINGNESS TO RESPOND WITH EAGERNESS TO ALL NEW EXPERIENCES WITH MUSIC.

    4. PERFORMANCE WITH EXEMPLARY MUSICALITY.
