Westmoreland Elementary School Mission Statement


The mission of Westmoreland Elementary School is to educate children through a variety of teaching methods and provide a safe and positive learning environment while building self-esteem, constructing strong moral character, creating an awareness of responsible citizenship through the school and the use of parental and community involvement.




Our Staff Believes:


-teachers have a right to teach and students have a right to learn.

-a safe and orderly environment is conducive to learning.

-teachers hold high expectations for students.

-parental involvement is a key factor to a student's motivation and success in school.

-different learning styles of students are met through a variety of teaching methods, enrichment activities, and the Arts.

-we adhere to reasonable rules, fair treatment of students, and good parent-teacher communication.
