Special Education And 6th, 7th, 8th Grade Search

7th grade Search Class has been studying Poetry. One of the students wanted to share a poem they had written.

The Sisters

I used to be daddy's little girl,
but now I'm a punk and a brat
Emma and Dona are his little girls now,
and I can't stand that

He used to hug me and call me
pumpkin and boo.
But now those are my sister's names
and I hate that too.

I use to be mommy's little
angel and princess,
but my sisters took that place.
Now I'm considered jealous in that race.

My sisters' tear my stuff up
and I get mad and scream,
but when it comes to punishment,
they're on the winning team.

My parents say I have an attitude,
and that I'm mean to all my sibblings.
But I say I can't help it
I didn't ask for those human beings.

I'm not my Parents big girl either,
Natalie fills that position.
Someday, I'll be more than the middle child.
But until then, I'll keep wishing.
