Dyer Junior High is proud of the Lady Eagles softball team. The emphasis is more on competing than on winning. The team is selected from girls in grades 6-8 and ALL girls making it through the rigorous two weeks of tryouts usually make the team. These past two years, many of the girls had not playing experience but showed marked improvement each week and each game. Players are certain to get a minimum of two innings per game. This is easily accomplished because only doubleheaders are scheduled.
