Graduation Requirements
The following units of credit shall be required for students graduating from Jackson County High School
English........................................................................4 units
Mathmatics*...............................................................3 units
Science **..................................................................3 units
U.S. History................................................................1 unit
U.S. Government***...................................................1 unit
Economics***.............................................................1 unit
World History or World Geography.............................1 unit
Wellness......................................................................1 unit
Electives (to meet path requirements as per information below) 9 for class of 1999 and 11 for the class of 2000 and beyond.
*By the time these students graduate, they must complete either Algebra I, or Math for Technology II or the Equivalent.
**All science courses will include laboratory experiences
***Any transfer student who has 1/2 credit in U.S. Government and 1/2 credit in Economics meets the state minimum requirement for graduation. We will honor this course work as long as they meet the minimum credits required for graduation.
