Hi, my name is Hemlock. I am a kind of evergreen tree. I have cones on myself. My stem is kind of bumpy and soft. The texture of myself is bumpy and rough. I'm colored green. Sometimes in the fall my leaves turn different colors. My leaves (or needles) grow in groups of two. They smell like vinegar. I'm kind of tall, too! I have lots and lots of cones on me! Because they are so pretty, whenever someone pulls them off, it hurts and I start crying. The closed comes have seeds in them, but the open ones stand there doing nothing! It makes me sleepy! Rainy weather makes me very sleepy! I don't like rainy days that much. It's very boring, because my friends aren't around! I stay green almost all the time. I don't like the color green because it's a slimy color. I like different colors like purple, orange, and yellow! Sometimes I hate when birds sit on my branches because they scratch the bark and it hurts! I'm really old now. I'm ninety- eight now! My birthday was yesterday. Nobody came to my party! I think that I'm still young though! They cut my mom down before I was born! My friend, Appletree, died because people were picking apples from him, then he died!
