4th-5th Grade
Bowling Trip
Coalfield Students Will Never Strike Out With Math!
Mrs. Shelia Harvey and this group of 4th and 5th graders had a
ball on their recent bowling trip. The trip is an incentive used
to motivate students to maintain math skills. Students in 4th grade
completed projects dealing with real-world situations. Fifth graders
completed over 200 problems along with multiplication quizzes.
The Oak Ridge Bowling Center made the trip a memorable one by giving
the group a used pin. Each student enjoyed signing the unique momento.
The fun didn't stop with bowling, students also stopped by the
Oliver Springs Pizza Hut for pizza.
The party was a great treat for the 13 students who attended. It
just goes to show, you'll never end up in the gutter with hard
work!
