What Makes Them Dangerous

Blizzards can have many different dangers. Driving in a car can be especially hazardous due to "whiteout" conditions and incredibly deep snow. Be sure that if you have to travel in  a blizzard that you have a First Aid kit and an emergency kit with a cell phone, canned food, and warm blankets in case you're trapped in the snow.

High wind chill factors can cause frostbite or hypothermia which is when you lose feeling in your toes, feet, ears, and nose and causes slow speech, memory lapses, stumbling, drowsiness, exhaustion, and uncontrollable shivering.

Blizzards can also make pipes freeze, power outages, and the cut-off of regular resources.
