Hi! I'm Terrie your tour guide. Come traveling with me and we will
glimpse into the world of children's literature as well as other language
arts resources.
First on our journey, let's fly somewhere over the rainbow to the land of
Oz with the help of the first grade children of Carminati Elementary
School in
Tempe, Arizona.
Are you bilingual? "Bla-bla", Ika Bremer's automatic storyteller, will entrance you in his fairy tales in English, German, or Spanish.
Music is another great source of artistic expression! Get away to "The Children's Music Web" and tap, tap, tap into a symphony of children's music and events.
Are you filled with endless curiosity about the world around you? Do you have a driving need to help Mother Earth? Check out The Rainforest Action Network's "Kids' Corner" for lots of ways that you can help preserve our rainforests.
Do you have computers in your classroom but not enough time to design lesson plans for them? Take a look at three technology lesson plans I have prepared for you. There's a lesson plan using a database. One using a spreadsheet. And finally, a third lesson using Hyperstudio.
To end our journey, let's make a final visit to Sweetwater, Tennessee and see what the kids are up to in that city's school system.
Did you enjoy your tour? Share these stories, songs, lesson plans, and
your new knowledge about our planet with your friends. Come back
anytime!! Bye!
