The Finance and Accounting departments have jointly purchased the IBES database.
The data are located on /usr/finance/IBES Because of IBES requirements, you must obtain permission from IBES before using the data. I have to grant each user access to the datasets, so you will need to contact me (Phillip Daves) to get Unix access to the datasets.
There are a number of separate datasets containing earnings data. The .int files contain international companies, and the .us and .usc files contain US companies. You will need to obtain the paper documentation from the Finance department to see which data items are on which file.
For most uses you will to use idfild to cross reference cusips with the IBES ticker symbol to find the correct company. Most earnings data appear on actfild, which has actual earnings and their dates, and on hiout1, which has the analysts forecast summaries. Detfild has the individual analysts estimates by analyst.
