Entree Fees

  • $50.00 First Division
  • Additional Divisions $25.00 each

Rules

  • No arm bars in ANY novice division - Arm bars are allowed in the 15-16 advanced division.
  • No chokes under 13. Chokes ARE allowed in ALL senior divisions
  • Competitors under 13 will be allowed to be examined by medical without forfeiting the match
  • Additional rule modifications at the discretion of the tournament director in consultation with the chief referee

Judo Gis

  • ALL Competitors must have a white judo gi
  • Players with only a blue judo gi will not be allowed to play if they are called as the white player
  • Players should bring their own blue and white belts. Blue sashes will be provided.

Brackets

  • Modified Double Elimination
  • Round Robin for five or fewer entries

Match Times

  • All matches 3 minutes
  • 2 minute time limit on golden score for under 13 divisions

Awards

  • Juniors: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies
  • Masters / Seniors: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals
  • 1st place Team Trophy for Junior team with most points
  • 1st place Team Trophy for Senior team with most points

Divisions

  • Masters: Depends on entries (usually novice / advanced: light, medium, heavy*)
  • Seniors: Novice: White Belt – Green Belt, Advanced: Brown and Black Belt
  • Men’s divisions will use Olympic weight classes (132, 145, 161, 178, 198, 220-, 220+)
  • Women’s divisions will be divided into light, medium and heavy*
  • Boys and Girls: Advanced: Brown and Black Belt, Novice: All other belt colors.
  • Age / weight groups: 5-6; 7-8; 9-10; 11-12; 13-14; 15-16: light, medium and heavy*
  • Open Division: Single elimination. Separate men’s and women’s divisions if enough interest
*Additional brackets will be added as needed. Maximum 25 lb weight difference except with player and coach’s approval
** Tournament Director reserves the right to add, delete or modify any Division.
