About ASCE

Founded in 1852, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) represents more than 140,000 members of the civil engineering profession worldwide and is America's oldest national engineering society. The University of Tennessee's student chapter of ASCE was established April 17, 1923. Our overall purpose is to encourage members to study the technical and ethical bounds of civil engineering, and to provide students with professional skills to become active members of society.

OUR MISSION IS TO VOLUNTEER OUR SUPPORT AND DEVELOP A COMMUNITY THAT EXEMPLIFIES LEADERSHIP IN STUDENT ENGINEERING
