Some collaborations of the Binder Lab ...
Schaller Lab- Schaller (Dartmouth) and Binder have collaborated on various projects over the years. Both PIs came out of the lab of Tony Bleecker and share an interest in understanding how the ethylene receptors function. Some representative publications from this research are: Azhar et al. 2023; Binder et al. 2018; Rai et al. 2015, Chen et al. 2010, Gao et al 2008, Rodriguez et al. 1999. Additionally, in 2017 Schaller and Binder shared the great joy of co-editing a book on methods for studying ethylene signaling.
Bruce Lab- We are collaborating with the Bruce lab in our department to understand how ethylene priming alters photosynthesis and carbohydrate metabolism in plants.
Muday Lab- The Muday lab at Wake Forest University and the Binder lab share an interest in determining the mechanisms by which ethylene and auxin control root development. See Muday et al. 2012 and Harkey et al. 2018.
Yoon Lab- We collaborate with the Yoon lab at Purdue University studying the spatial dynamics of various components in the ethylene signal transduction pathway. See Park et al. 2023.
Alexandre Lab- We are collaborating with the Alexandre lab in our department to understand the role of putative ethylene receptors in various soil bacteria.
Hewezi Lab- We have had several collaborative projects with the Hewezi lab in the Plant Sciences Department at the UT Institute of Agriculture. These were focused on understanding auxin signaling and examining non-canonical ethylene signaling. Papers out of this collaboration so far: Baksi et al. 2018; Piya et al. 2014; Piya et al. 2018
Chervin Lab- We have collaborated with the lab of Christian Chervin at the University of Toulouse over the past 10 years or so on ethylene signaling in cyanobacteria (Henry et al., 2017), roles of the ethylene receptors in Arabidopsis (Bakshi et al. 2018), and in tomato fruit (Chen et al., 2019, Chen et al., 2020a, Chen et al., 2020b).
