The Institute of Nuclear Materials Management has six technical divisions that serve the needs of the subspecialties within the broader nuclear materials management field.
Facility Operations
The INMM Facility Operations Technical Division provides a forum for the exchange of knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned in nuclear facilities’ operations in commercial and government sectors.
International Safeguards
The INMM International Safeguards Technical Division (ISD) provides a forum for the exchange of information on the continuing development of international safeguards within the nuclear nonproliferation regime and for the enhancement of a broad understanding of the implementation and effectiveness of safeguards.
Materials Control & Accountability
The Materials Control and Accountability Technical Division promotes communication, professional development and the exchange of technology among professionals active in the control and accountability of nuclear materials.
Nonproliferation & Arms Control
The INMM Nonproliferation and Arms Control Technical Division promotes the advancement of research and development efforts in support of international arms control and nonproliferation through applying nuclear materials research and management to arms control, nonproliferation, and treaty verification, as well as to transparency measures aimed at furthering international stability.
Nuclear Security & Physical Protection
The INMM Nuclear Security and Physical Protection Technical Division promotes the advancement and implementation of technology and systems for the physical protection of nuclear materials and facilities.
Packaging, Transportation & Disposition
The Packaging, Transportation and Disposition Technical Division promotes the advancement of technology involved in the packaging, transportation and waste management of radioactive materials and its successful application to the solution of packaging, transportation and waste management problems around the world.
