  • Why I chose Zeta: It may sound cliche to some people, but the reason I chose to be apart of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated is because I believe I can truly become who I want to be with the help of Zeta, and I truly believe in the idea that there is a Zeta in every woman. I was coming as a freshman who was shy and struggled to come out of her comfort zone, and still is. I know this organization is going to make help me reach my personal goals as a young woman going off into the world. I remember going to my first informational. I felt so comfortable, and I felt like I could loosen up. I did not feel out of place at all, and even after I got a question wrong in a game, no one made me feel bad or game me funny looks. It makes sense that if I am trying to become a certain person, then I would want to be in an organization that allows me to be different and express myself freely, right? I know one thing I worried about when coming into college was fitting in, and Zeta made me feel like I did not have to. Every young woman in Zeta is different and that is one of my favorite things about this organization. I knew that I was going to be able to flourish, as any woman should, and the way that I wanted to in this organization all while getting the chance to help others flourish as well, whether it was feeding others at a soup kitchen or cleaning up a women’s’ dorm at a home.
