Sigma Nu Enjoys Very Busy Social Year
The 2015-16 academic year saw the Epsilon Eta chapter of Sigma Nu maintain a very busy social schedule. The chapter participated in a variety of mixers and mega mixers with Kappa Kappa Gamma, Delta Gamma and Delta Zeta. Themes this year included Woodstock, the 80’s, Heaven and Hell, Halloween and Space Jam. Spring semester the chapter held an ice skating mixer with over 150 brothers and dates attending. Fall semester the chapter sponsored a rap concert with another fraternity on campus. This year the annual winter formal was held in the Sunsphere in downtown Knoxville. February saw the chapter spend a Friday night skiing at Ober Gatlinburg overlooking downtown Gatlinburg. The chapter donated hundreds of cans of food so that all brother’s lift tickets were free. For the second year in a row, the chapter held their spring formal in Lexington, KY. The chapter attended a minor league game on Friday night, enjoyed the races at Keeneland Race Track on Saturday and ended the evening with their annual formal. Over 200 brothers and dates make the drive up I-75 for the end of the year event.
Fall Recruitment 2015
The brothers for Sigma Nu participated in the August 2015 IFC Recruitment process. The week started off with their annual bar-b-que at the home of a local alumni on Lake Loudon. Recruitment Week was highly successful with the signing of over 40 new candidates for the Epsilon Eta chapter of Sigma Nu Fraternity.
Homecoming 2015
Sigma Nu and Delta Gamma joined for Homecoming 2015. Over fifty campus organizations participate in Homecoming. Sigma Nu and Delta Gamma entered the following events: Anything Goes, the Bed Race, Large Float, Smokey’s Howl, Large Banner and the Tower of Cans. The groups finished fourth overall, second the Large Float event, second in the Tower of Cans, fifth place in the Bed Race, fifth place in the Large Banner and fourth place in Anything Goes.
Sigma Nu Finishes Second Overall in Spring Boxing Tournament
Spring Semester 2016 annual fraternity boxing tournament Sigma Nu was represented by thirteen brothers and finished second overall. The event continues to be one of the oldest and largest fraternity events in the country. The chapter was represented by Chris Letsinger, Worsham Ward, Isaac Way, Charlie Walton, James Eun, Logan Nicholson, Josh Raplee, Matt Ryan, Major Morgan, Alex Lee, Jordon Jones, Chas Resides, and Roderick Payne. Chris Letsinger won the championship belt for the Featherweight division.

Relay for Life 2016
Sigma Nu participated in the annual campus wide Relay for Life on Friday, April 8. Over 30 campus organizations came together in Circle Park for a night of walking and raising money for Relay for Life. The event raised $ 33,064.79. Sigma Nu finished second overall for their third straight year by raising $2,759. Brother Josh Raplee raised $1,150 and was named the second higher individual fundraiser for the event.
